The good news of Jesus Christ is that while we were still sinners, He died for us.
The good news is that the God of the universe loves you and gave his son Jesus just for you.
A saving faith in Jesus Christ is the life-changing difference we all need. Jesus' sacrifice on the cross means several things. During the crucifixion, far more was happening than the eye could see. God was carrying out His plan to rescue mankind, providing everything we need for salvation.
For some reason, God wants to have a relationship with us. It's not because we're so great necessarily, although we are created by God, the creator who never makes mistakes and does all things perfectly. He wants a relationship with us because he is a God of Love and he loves you.
However, there's a problem between God and us and the problem is sin. God does not tolerate sin. Unfortunately, we all do it. We always have and always will.
In Romans 3:23 the Bible tells us that all have sinned. Romans 6:23 tells us that price for sin is death and the eternal separation from God.
There is good news for us too. Romans 5:8 says that God demonstrated how much He loved us by allowing His Son Jesus to die for us on the cross. That death paid the price for our sins once and for all.
The real question is, what must we do to be saved from death and the eternal separation from God? Romans 10:9 answers that by telling us if we speak with our mouths that Jesus is Lord and believe that God raised Jesus from the dead after he was crucified then we'll be saved.
It can't be that easy, you might be thinking. But it is that simple. Romans 10:13 says that everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.
In Jesus Christ you can find a peace that you've never imagined.
Nailed to a cross, Jesus paid a great price for your life. You can say, God, forgive me. Your words have meaning.
To sum it up, what does that mean to you and how do you make it real in your life?
- Admit - Romans 3:23 - For all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God…
- Believe - John 1:12 - Yet to all who have received him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God…
- Confess - Romans 10:9-10 – That if you confess with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord" and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.
